Marion Creative Carpentry Company is a custom wood shop in Milton, New York, in the heart of the Hudson Valley. We design and build custom gifts, signage and small-batch hardwood furniture, and we run CNC production for makers and businesses across the region.

Meet Sean

I hold a BA in psychology from the University of Vermont, and it shows up in the shop more than you'd think. Good custom work starts with listening: understanding what someone really wants and helping them picture it before the first cut. The same goes for teaching, where patience and clear explanation matter as much as technique.

Opening a carpentry shop had always been my dream. This shop is that dream made real: a place to build work I'm proud of, and to share the craft with my neighbors.

We believe good woodworking should be shared. That's why the shop doubles as a makerspace and classroom, where neighbors learn the craft, use professional tools safely and build things they're proud of.

I'm Sean, founder of Marion Creative Carpentry Company. I've been a carpenter for more than 20 years, and for 12 of them I owned and ran a carpentry company here in the Hudson Valley, specializing in renovation, new construction and custom carpentry. That work taught me how things go together, and how to build them so they last.
